I am a graduate student and RA/TA in the University of Washington Geography Department working on my Masters degree. I received my BA in Geography from the University of Washington in 1999 where I focused on critical development studies.  My research interests are in international development around issues of poverty and hunger.  I am interested in how the imposition of arbitrary political borders upon indigenous cultures affect entitlements and the ability of indigenous people to participate in both their surrounding economy and the global economy.
